These meanings are how Room TBA’s own data and pages use each term. They
are not an official university glossary. If one is wrong or missing, use
“Report a correction” below.
To be announced. A class whose room or time shows TBA in AMIS has not been assigned one yet. It is also where Room TBA gets its name.
A schedule or room cell that reads TBA
AMIS
The Academic Management Information System, the university system that holds class schedules and enrollment. Room TBA imports class rows from it.

LEC, LAB, RCT, SEM
Activity types: lecture, laboratory, recitation, seminar. The full list of twelve is explained in the section-times guide.

The type of a class
Section
The code after a course number, such as B, ST, or AB2R. For regular lectures the letters encode the day group and start time.

AB, ST, UV and other letter pairs
Two-letter lecture sections made of adjacent time blocks, for example A and B together. A to H are Wednesday and Friday blocks, and S to Z are the same clock times on Tuesday and Thursday.

A building attached to or beside a main college building, often numbered, such as CAS Annex 1.
CAS Annex 1, CDC Annex 2
Room code
The building or unit prefix followed by the room number, for example CEM 101. Room TBA matches spellings that differ only by spaces, dashes, or case.
